YETI Tundra 35 Review – The Best Leopard Yeti Cooler

Whether you’re tossing a faded-out Coleman from the 90s or a beefed up Yeti, a cooler is an essential piece of gear when you’re on a hike, camping trip or just out for a day on the water. A good cooler should be able to hold your beverages cold (or hot, if you want them that way).

YETI is known for their rugged coolers that can take a beating and still keep your drinks icy cool. And they’re one of the few companies that have a solid warranty if something goes wrong with your cooler.

The Tundra 35 is a functional, rugged cooler that’s great for weekend outings. It’s big enough for a group of guys to share some beers or a bunch of food without running out of room. And it comes in several different colors, including a utilitarian Tan and our tested shade of Harvest Red. It’s also available in a monster size for groups that need more room to stash all the food and drink.

This cooler has some great features, like a handy ruler on the lid and what YETI calls AnchorPoint tie down slots. They’re designed to allow you to anchor the cooler to things like boats, kayaks or a pickup truck. It’s also the only cooler in this test that has slip resistant feet, which can come in handy if you’re lugging it around on rocks or in a vehicle.

The downside is that it’s the most expensive in this test at $325. That makes it a bigger investment that you might worry about getting scratched up in the back of your pickup or worse, stolen.
